Psychological Profile
Basic Personality:
Servoc is typically Vulcan in the sense that he surpresses his emotions and is governed by logic. He is hild tempered and slow to distress, preferring to see every new problem as a logic problem that can be solved if given the proper amount of data.
Servoc is loyal. He will defend his loyalties with an almost human ferociousness, and as such is often ridiculed by some of his Vulcan acquaintances as having been under the influence of humans so long their emotions are rubbing off on him.
Faults:
Too logical: This can be said of most Vulcans, However, Servoc can take it too the extreme. He often can totally and completely disregard other feeling and suggestions if he thinks they are contrary to his logic.
Too Confident: Servoc thinks highly of himself, and, while this is a quality that makes him a great decision maker, it can also hinder his relationship with the rest of the crew. Many who do not know well find his company irritating. He always assumes he’s right unless proven wrong. He is even then reluctant to say out right that he was wrong.
Too Narrow-Minded: This ties in to Servoc’s other faults. His confidence in his own logic can sometimes cause him to become narrow-minded. When this happens it takes a great deal of persuasion with facts and logic of another sort to help him see certain flaws in his own logic. Even then sometimes he can simply refuse to listen, rationalizing it by saying that the conflicting logic of humans cannot be superior to his own.
Strengths:
Loyalty: Servoc is loyal to a point of almost human tendancies. When one of his friends are in danger he will do anything in his power, even if it means risking his life, to ensure that they are safe.
Logical: Being a Vulcan, Servoc is dedicated to logic. While this can be a fault if used incorrectly it is also one of his greatest strengths. Because he suppresses his emotions, he can remain calm in situations that others may find stressful and hopeless. It is in these moments that he can put hhis logic to work and help solve problems that otherwise may not get resolved.
Experienced: Servoc has been in Starfleet since he was 27. He has had over 20 years of on ship experience and has seen many crisis and solutions. This gives him an edge over some of the newer crew as he is able to use his past experiences to ascertain the best course of action.
History:
Servoc was born on the Vulcan. He received the general training of Vulcan children, that is, he was taught the ways of logic and emotional suppression. At age 27 he joined Starfleet, mostly because his family had done so since the birth of the federation. He quickly found a place for his Vulcan logic as a science officer aboard the Starship Princeton.
While on the Princeton Servoc encountered Klingons and romulans both and proved his metal. During a routine checkup of a border planet the Princeton was attacked by a Romulan Warship. With the warp drive damaged and shield failing, Servoc was able to devise a solution to their predicament. By turning the ship aft and discharging a very small portion of anti-matter toward the Romulans the, princeton was able to effect the demise of the romulan vessel with minimal damage to the ship. After repairs were made the ship returned to the nearest star base where Servoc was comedated for his actions.
Servoc was transferred to the USS Akira in 2364 when their Chief science officer suffered a fatal illness that led to his demise. His actions onvoard that vess were routine and un eventful. In the end his most notable and memorable action was on the Princeton.
When the position of chief science officer opened aboard the Endeavor, star fleet ordered Servoc to report for duty.
