The young woman chuckled, guess she couldn't hide her anxiousness that well. Though she was only mildly aware of the anxiety due to the tightness in her shoulders, she might want to see the doctor about that, maybe he had something that could help with that- probably not. "I'm just wondering if my fiance got transfered or not." She was actually hoping he wouldn't.

Nyx grinned brightly, her dark eyes practically sparkling with enthusiasm.
"Oh, fiance, huh?"
The young ensign brushed a stray strand that had fallen free from her bun back behind her ear. So...her friend here had a significant other. The feeling she got from Folicia indicated a small amount of dislike. Was it dislike of being separated? Possibly. It would make sense at least. Seriously, who enjoyed being separated from their loved ones, right?
"Maybe you'll get lucky and he'll get transferred to Endeavor. It happens. Starfleet's kinda good at last minute assignments," Nyx commented, figuring that Folicia missed her fiance or something.

Folicia chuckled. "I think he'd be find staying on the station." The near Vulcan rolled her eyes. "He'd say something like 'what ever star fleet thinks is logical.' Or something along those lines. Some times I wonder if he's got no mind of his own." The pointed eared woman smiled gently, it'd be an easier few years if Remmak didn't get transfered. That way she could have some time before they actually settled the whole marriage thing to live her life independent of him. Up until the last year or so she'd just sort of skated around his whole existence.

Oh...so she didn't want her fiance onboard? Now this was definitely proving to be interesting. Why was it that she didn't want him along? If she didn't like him, why stay engaged? Why not just break it off? Nyx used a bit of tact and didn't pepper Folicia with these questions though. It was a lot to delve into given the fact that they had just met. Besides, they would be together on Endeavor for awhile...there would be plenty of time to find out what the story was. For now though, Nyx simply drank the last of her Warp 9.
"I doubt that he doesn't have a mind. I mean, as much as Vulcans try to supress their emotions and all that, you would think that they'd be mindless robots. I was really surprised to find that wasn't the case. Sure, the pursuit of logic and all that was a common thing, but every Vulcan I met had a drive of their own...goals they wanted, things like that."
Nyx rose from her seat. She needed to get back to her quarters and make sure everything was squared away and ready to go.
"I guess I better get going, but I'll be seeing you onboard the Endeavor, right? It was nice talking to you..."
Her voice trailed off as she realized she never did get the other woman's name.

"Folicia, Folicia Turprine, and you are?" Folicia asked looking up at the woman as she stood. Scooting her cup back . "It's been nice talking to you as well." The near human stood and offered her hand for shaking towards the other.

Nyx was pretty sure she had given her name to Folicia earlier, but the young ensign didn't mind giving it again. She smiled as she took the hand offered, and gave a firm handshake. "Nuitanna Nyx. It was nice meeting you, Folicia." She turned to leave, but before she walked through the doors leading out, Nyx looked back. She gave Folicia a bit of a saucy wink as she waved. "Guess I"ll be seeing you on the bridge. Night!" And then she walked on out. ((...and with that crappy post, Nyx has left the thread.))
